Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer Review

Andrew JamesWednesday, June 12, 2013 23 Comments

Hey Beauties!!
I was invited to the Launch of the new Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer which sounded awesome and it was so much fun, we got to learn about the product and were given one of them to take away to try.

About the product

The Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer is something new to Benefit as its able to hold makeup on for a long time! They already had Porefessional which does everything but prolong the wear of makeup so to combat this they decided to create Stay Flawless which has some awesome properties, if you apply it to the skin but dont rub it in just apply foundation on top it unlocks "the makeup magnet" in which it grabs the products and makes them last longer, I also find it works really well at giving a smooth flawless base it also felt like i was using less product than i had been before

Wear Time

There is no doubt about it that this primer will make your foundation lasts ages! i absolutely love it! I know some primers make the promise of keeping foundation on for ridiculous amounts of time but i think that this primer actually does what it says. I was on a photoshoot the other day and  i used this primer along with the Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation and i honestly did not have to touch up the makeup during the shoot as it stayed in place and it looks just as good at the end as it did when i first applied

How to Apply

Apply the Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer after moisturising, apply in a circular motion this will unlock the "makeup magnet" in the product which helps the foundation stick to the skin better.
Watch the tutorial below on how to apply this product by Benefit's Head Makeup Artist, Lisa

Packaging

I think we all have to say that its nothing new packaging wise, i do like how it is contained in a stick but to me it looks a lot like something you would find in Topshop just because of the polka dots and the black parts to it but other than that the packaging is perfectly functional and i can't find fault with it

Price and Where to buy

Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer will be available for purchase on the 29th of June when it launches and will cost £24.50 You can purchase online or from any Benefit counter

The Good and The Bad

The Good?- It actually does what it says it will do it will keep your makeup on
The Bad?- For me personally i wish it would come in more forms than just stick

I was invited to the launch too but I was gutted I couldn't make it! I was given a sample from my local Benefit counter though and loved it. I found it made my foundation "sit" on top of my face though rather than blend so if anything touched my face it did rub off on it, I loved the finish it gave though!

I have to say, completely agree with you about the packaging. Totally reminds me of Topshop which is a bit of a let down

I'm hoping this launches in Australia! The thing I wasn't too keen on with the packaging is the hygiene aspect. That's what put me off Fine One One and Fakeup.
