Hey Beauties!
I thought it was about time i review one of my favourite products i've ever used when doing makeup. The Makeup Atelier Paris Waterproof Gel Liner has to be a staple in my kit, it's quite a weird texture its like a cream but its so unbelievably soft it almost reminds me of soft butter....if that makes sense.
Often i don't believe things when they say waterproof because nothing is waterproof only water resistant but this eyeliner blows every other eyeliner i have ever used out of the water for the simple fact its really hard to get off, it doesn't smudge it doesn't peel it doesn't rub off once it is on its on and its not coming off unless you use something like Estee Lauders Take it Away remover. To test how waterproof this was i went for a shower with it on my hand and it didn't even fade slightly.
These gel liners come in over 10 different shades ranging from Black to White, Purples, Blues basically a lot of different great colours, I was sent the colour Dark Brown which is an eyeliner i was missing in my kit before but since then when doing simple natural makeup this is all i will use. Another great thing about these is they can be used as waterproof bases for eyeshadow so say someone has really oily lids what i will do first is blot the lids with a blotting paper then apply a small amount of this eyeliner to the lids and blend it out once it sets its not going anywhere and i can build shadow on top the best thing about using this as a base is that it blends as well so you could just use this as an eyecolour on its own
1. I used the liner as a base and blended it out with a synthetic brush 2. I used it as a liner it creates amazing lines because the liner is so soft it just glides instead of pulling |
As you can see above the liner greats such a sharp solid line, there was no tugging or pulling and the liner lasted all day.
I would say this product is amazing for those of you who have trouble finding a liner that will last one your eyes, i really recommend this one because its so multipurpose being able to use it on the lids as a waterproof base, as an eyeliner to line the lid but also it can be used to line the waterline. I often find that liners don't stay on the waterline they are washed away within an hour or 2 but with this liner it stays on so much longer than a regular liner
The Makeup Atelier Paris Waterproof Gel Eyeliner can be found on Love-Makeup as well as the Makeup Atelier site They are £13 each for 5g of product whereas Bobbi Brown sells their gel liners for £17 and you only get 3g of product so not only are you getting a better product with Makeup Atelier you are getting more product for less.
What do you think of these gel liners?
Have you tried Makeup Atelier before?

I've never used any of their makeup before but these sounds really impressive. The swatches show what clean lines they create so I might have to investigate!

ReplyDeleteAmong the most damaging are permanent hair dyes, facial and body moisturizers, cleansers, and even sunscreens, all of which are used by a significant portion of the overall population. And cases of severe reactions from such everyday-use products are widespread, say researchers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this, very useful, I'm always on the go for waterproof stuff, I love the pool :D
ReplyDeleteI bought the Atelier and though it looks great when first applied, it smudges really badly. I haven't had this problem with any other liner
