Illamasqua Cream Blush- "Lies"

Hey Beauties!
I always get asked how to make skin look so glowy, dewy but really natural. I usually get that glow on models by using Lies Cream Blush.

Illamasqua describes "Lies" as a Pearlescent Cool Pink which can be used as a cheek colour on really pale skin as it will come up as a really nice pale pink but can also be use as a highlight because it is quite pearlescent which is gorgeous, usually i would apply this over the foundation before slightly powdering. I place the highlight in specific places i want the light to hit.

Lies Cream Blush is so soft and easy to blend. I love the texture of these blushes, it reminds me of butter (hah) yes i know that sounds weird but it feels like the same texture so it does blend like butter.
Illamasqua describes their cream blushes as :

Tease, hypnotise, use to effect. Use Cream Blusher to highlight your cheekbones, shape your face, build and blend with fingers or a brush to create the colour intensity you desire. Use over foundation for impact, or under for a captivating glow. However you apply it, be daring.

Check out the Live Swatch!

Lies comes with 4g of product for £16.50 which is a good thing because MAC Crème Blend is £17.50 whereas you get 5.6g with that but Illamasqua Cream Blushes are so intensely pigmented you really dont need much.
Lies is avaliable from Illamasqua Counters and from Online at Illamasqua.com.

I used Lies cream blush on this photoshoot to create the glow here

What do you think of Lies Cream Blush?
Have you tried Illamasqua before?

The POREfessional Vs The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Perfector

Hey Beauties! <3
I thought i would just show you something I found recently and im loving it already.

These 2 products are something i really like because some people have a big problem with oversized pores or pores that show up to much and one of these doesn't really do well in my opinion. The Body Shop Seaweed Pore Perfector is one of the best "Pore Products" I have used I find that it actually does make a difference to someones skin it is said to be used on Oily/Combination skin but I use it on everyone if they need it that is. I find it actually does shrink the size of the pores and helps to control the oils on the nose and forehead which i think is a great thing where as The POREfessioanl, i dont think it does much in all honesty i have used it on a few people and i havent really seen much of a difference i know some people rave about this but im not a raver more a ranter for this product.

As you can see above the POREfessioanl is more of a balm type consistancy which when rubbed into the skin leaves the skin feeling matte and silky and the Seaweed Pore Perfector is more a gel based formula which leaves a really nice glow to the skin whilst making pores smaller.

I find that with the Seaweed Pore Perfector you need a little for the whole face where as i find myself using more of the POREfessional.

The Seaweed Pore Perfector come with 15ml of Product for £10 where as the POREfessional comes with 22ml for £23.50 but i feel the Seaweed Pore Perfector is the better deal because the product its self actually works better costs less and you use less.
You can get the Seaweed Pore Perfector from The Body Shop Stores and from online HERE and the POREfessional can be found online HERE and at all Benefit Counters and Boutiques

What do you think of these?
What one have you tried or both?

ELF Studio Blush Review

Don't you just love ELF? I got these a while ago but i have never actually blogged about them because I find some of the products cant be really hit or miss.
I love the packaging as you can see i thought they looked a lot like the NARS Blush's where as the NARS Blushes have a matte case these don't.

The Product-
The ELF Studio Blush comes with 4.7g of product which is great because the NARS Blushes contain only 4.5g  I find that sometimes the ELF Blush's can be a bit chalky but that doesnt make them a bad product they still apply great, the biggest thing about these that surprised me was the intense pigmentation of most shades. With one swipe you get so much colour so a light hand is needed because of the pigment.

As you can see from the swatch above Pink Passion is extremely pigmented which i love! Each Blush costs around £3.50 in the UK and $3 in the US which is an amazing price for such a good product

Individual Shades
Pink Passion is a gorgeous barbie pink which is highly pigmented as well as a little chalky so a light hand is needed so you don't go all clown cheeks

This is maybe my favourite shade from ELF. It is quite comparable to NARS Angelika
Peachy Keen is a gorgeous golden colour which would look great as a highlight because it is not glittery more a sheen to it rather than glitter, the touch of this is soft and silky and applies well.

Peachy Keen is comparable to Nars Luster
Blushing Rose isnt my favourite shade because it is so deep, really warm almost red with a lot of glitter it would be good for deeper skin tones

Blushing Rose is comparable to MAC Love Rush
Berry Merry is light pink/warm colour with small flecks of glitter ((Bad Picture sorry)) It does look quite golden when swatched which i think is quite cute. This applies like the other colours soft and silky without being overly glittery

Berry Merry is comparable to NARS Sin

The last time for these blushes is okay, i wouldn't say it was amazing but if you use a cream blush or a cream product then these you will get a more lasting effect as it has something to hold onto and if you do loose the blush you still have a colour underneath

Over all I like these blush's, they are pigmented and affordable what's not to love!
ELF is available at eyeslipsface.co.uk or eyeslipsface.com and can also be found in some stores in the US

What do you think of ELF Blushes?
What is your favourite colour?

Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer Reivew

Hey Beauties,

I went into Space NK the other day to pick up the Kevyn Aucoin "The Sensual Skin Enhancer" which has had a few good reviews but a generally unheard of product on the market. If you didn't know, Kevyn Aucoin was a Famous Makeup Artist to the star who did everyone's makeup from Linda Evangalista to Britney Spears even Cher but sadly died in 2002 but his knowledge and products live on.

I really like this product, its a foundation and you might think..."that tiny pot a foundation" and i would answer "yes" hah. This foundation is one of the most full coverage, pigmented products ive ever used. Usually when using this foundation you would mix a bit of moisturiser into it  in varying quantities depending on the coverage you would like, You can use it as a concealer straight from the tub as it is seriously pigmented.
A little goes a long with with this foundation and i mean a little as you will see in the Live Swatch below
Shade- sx03
video

As you can see from above this foundation is extremely pigmented and quite thick but great if you sheer it down with a moisturiser so that it doesnt cake up on your skin. if you use small amounts in certain places you wont have any problems.
There is a real technique in using this foundation i like using it with a small sponge and push and roll it into the skin rather than using a brush because it just looks better

The Sensual Skin Enhancer is £36 for 18g of product and will last you a life time as you only need a tiny bit
If your into either full coverage or just hiding spots this is good for you its also good for those who want a really sheer coverage or full as you can mix a moisturiser into it and basically create any coverage. It contains Honey and jojoba oil to create a soft, dewy finish.

The Sensual Skin Enhancer is available from Space NK in the UK from what i have found you can also buy it online at http://uk.spacenk.com

What do you think of this product?
How much coverage do you like?

Fashionista Customisable Palette (Blush)

Hey Beauties,

You may remember I did a post before on the Fashionista Cosmetics 4 pan palette that I had filled eye smokey eye colours well this time I bought another one but I bought a selection of different blushes and put them into the Red Palette they have.
I have to say i was surprised at the pigmentation in these blushes as they are only £4 each but £12 for the whole palette which i think is an amazing deal, looking at the blushes you can see these are highly pigmented
i would say that the deeper pink/red tone was the most pigmented it reminds me of MAC's Loverush but i think the greatest thing in this palette would be the 2nd Blush which reminds me an awful lot of Super Orgasm by NARS in the picture it looks a little deeper but in real life its almost a perfect match

1. Flush
2. Amber Glow
3. Butterscotch
4. Cinnamon
As you can see above the idea of the palette is a great thing, i think the idea was taken from the Bobbi Brown Palettes which are a great idea. I love how you can pop out the colours and add different ones it really is a great idea for everyone especially Makeup Artists because you can swap and take what colours you need and at only £12 a palette for 4 its not really breaking the bank at all

Left to right-
Cinnamon, Butterscotch, Flush, Amber Glow
As i mentioned earlier in this post i was quite surprised at how pigmented these blushes would show up as we all know that sometimes they types of products are so bright but its hard to get pigmentation from them. Amber Glow have to be my favourite colour from this palette because it does remind me of Super Orgasm by NARS.

2.5g of product for £4 each, but having the palette on an offer that if you buy 4 peices and the palette you can get it all for £12 so you are saving so much money and these are so pigmented you only need a light hand so they should last you a while.
These palettes are avaliable from Superdrug, there is a list on the Facebook Notes sections saying where they are available from: click here

What do you think of this idea?
Does it compare to NARS Super Orgasm to you?
