Sleek - Crème To Powder Foundation Review

Hey Beauties!
I am so happy today! Blue Skies, a gorgeous sunny day! and....I hit 100000 Visitors today!! I just wanted to say that you guys are amazing and so amazing that you would care what I would have to say. I if I can help any of you in any way let me know.

I have always really wanted to try out the MAC Studio Tech Foundation but always begrudge spending £25 on it so i thought of trying to find something similar....I failed hah but I found something so much better. Usually when using cream foundations they work best on people with dry or normal skin because they help make the skin look good but they dont work well on people with oily skin, you will find yourself blotting or powdering a lot. This foundation is really good in my eyes, its amazing for people who have really oily skin weird i know but since this is a cream to powder foundation it sets like a powder so it absorbs your oils which is great.

This Foundation is Medium to Full Coverage but can be used sheerer by spraying your brush with water or i use Fix+ by MAC. It is really easy to make this foundation look cakey so the best idea would be to put it on in layers then buff as it will blend it into the skin more. I really dont use it for everyday makeup use but i think its a great foundation to keep in your kit if you are a Makeup Artist because it has that ideal coverage that works best in photographs the "you look flawless but doesn't look like your wearing much but your actually caked in it" look haha.

The texture is the same as any crème foundation until its dry then it feels like skin really. I think Sleek is great in there range of foundations because they go really dark but not that light so the range would be really great for darker woman/men who have normal to oily skin

The Sleek Crème To Powder Foundation is avaliable from Superdrug in the Makeup Section as well as online at www.Sleekmakeup.com and is £7.30 for 9g of product which is good because you only really need a little bit for the full face

Have you tried this Foundation before?

The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes Review

Hey Beauties<3

I am loving these shadows I bought a while back but ever actually tried them until now, as the name says they are cubes of shimmery eyeshadow which im not to keen on so much shimmer but I quite like these.
Shimmer Cubes from The Body Shop come in a quad of eyeshadows in a cube as the name would say each eyeshadow has its own little container so you can take just one or all 4 which i think is a great idea

Candy Pink Eyeshadow

When used as normal eyeshadows dry they arnt that pigmented but there is a lot of shimmer from them I find the 2 purple shades are quite pigmented where as the White and Soft pink arnt very pigmented but these can be used wet which i think is an awesome thing because then these turn into something amazing.

The left picture is when the eyeshadows are used dry and the right picture is the eyeshadows used wet with Illamasqua Sealing Gel to make them last longer if you were using them on the lids, but if you are using sealing gel with these they tend to dry faster so id work quickly.
The colours in this Cube are Orchid Purple, Candy Pink, Pearly White, Velvet Plum so this is basically a Purple Shadow Cube.

The Body Shop Shimmer Cubes contain 3.5g of eyeshadow per Cube which I think is amazing because you are getting a heck of a lot of shadow for the price. They are £16 each but The Body Shop have offers on regularly so look out and you can get them cheaper.
Overall I really like the colours in this Cube and the fact that you get a little leaflet thing to show you how to use them is always good for those who want to learn.

What do you think of the Shimmer Cubes?
Have you tried them before?

bareMinerals Prime Time Review

Hey Beauties!

"Discover a new way to wear eyeshadow!"

The opening line is totally true to the product
This little thing is actually quite cool because its like a cream shadow but its also a primer/base shadow. I have used this on a photoshoot and it looks really cool in photoshoots. I had placed a bareMinerals eyeshadow that I was given on top of it and OMG it looked so gorgeous and it did last quite a long time.
The weird thing about this product is it acts like a cream shadow but it sets to that of something that does not move does not crease and you have to use a wipe to get it off

The shadow below is one of the High Shine Eyecolours on top if it and this is what i got, its such a gorgeous colour the colour I put on was Gun Metal Gray.
The colour on its own is quite nice it reminds me of the Illamasqua Liquid Metals in Surge and Phenomena, it  looks a lot like Phenomena as its a Molten Silver

I really like the texutre and the feel. They are soft and easily blendable but there is one thing that would make me never buy them, the price! With the Prime Time "Primer Shadows" you get...3ml thats a tiny amount of product for the price which is £16. ive used this product once and it feels empty already and ive only used a tiny bit. I was given this as a gift from bareMinerals for going to the Opening Party and i thought it was a sample size but no its full sized.

These shadows are avaliable from bareMineral Counters, Boutiques and Online at bareminerals.co.uk

Overall Im torn whether to buy more or not because its such a unique product that sets to something unmoveable and uncrease-able. This product would be great for those of you with oily lids as it sets and will not move.

Should I buy more?
Is £16 worth it?

A Great Alternative to the Japonesque Palette

Hey Beauties!<3

I know ive done 3 posts down on lipstick palettes but i want to find the best way to carry about my lipsticks and to save myself having to carry over 60 individual lipsticks. I think this item im about to show you is a great idea because it holds over 60 different items, in this case Lipsticks

Its actually a holder for bits of craft stuff like beads etc. I found it in the Jewellery making section in Hobbycraft and my mind thought these would be amazing for holding different Lipsticks and Cream Products if you are looking for this in Hobbycraft its called "Craftmates Ezy Snappin' Petite Double Organizer" and is £26 which i think is an awesome price because you can see every single one of your lipcolours not to mention its cheaper than a Japonesque Palette which has 36 wells where as this had over 80 different storage compartments.
I found the best way to get your lipsticks into these containers was to cut the lipstick up and place it into the well I organised by colour, "smoosh" the lipstick down so its not one solid form it will melt easier and then use a hair-dryer on the hottest setting to melt them down until the surface is nice and smooth just watch you don't make it go everywhere though.

I think this is an amazing idea because before i was carrying around 4 different MAC Palettes with lipsticks and now i have this one palette and i can see every colour so this gives me more ideas to work from that just looking at 1 at a time

What do you think of these?
Good alternative to the Japonesque Palette

Illamasqua "Sophie" Medium Pencil

The Sophie Medium Pencil has to be my favourite black eyeliner pencil because it is really black and it is seriously blend-able
Unlike a lot of Pencil Eyeliners I have used they tend to tug on your eyelid which isn't nice so I mostly use gel eyeliners because they can be so precise and do not pull at all but with the Sophie Eyeliner it isnt super soft but it does run softer than most eyeliners which is nice the thing i love the most about these medium pencils are they blend like no other eyeliners usually eyeliners are hard to blend but these are quite like creams when you apply them to the eyes, They are PERFECT for creating a cut crease or a nice smokey eye because you can layer up your products for a actual smoked out finish

What i love about this pencil is Illamasqua came up with a Modernised techinque that was used by the likes of Greta Garbo to give the eyes dimension and depth they call it "Skin Sketching"

The Sophie Eyeliner and all Medium Pencils are £13 from Illamasqua and they last for a good while as well which I also love!

I want to talk about something which i think is quite close to me the reason behind the "Sophie Pencil"
The Sophie Pencil is more than a Simple Eyeliner, it helps raise money for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation and if you dont know what that is, its Foundation set up to :

- To create a lasting legacy to Sophie.

- To provide educational group-works that will challenge the prejudice and intolerance towards people from alternative subcultures.

- To campaign to have the UK Hate Crime legislation extended to include people from “alternative subcultures” or “Lifestyle and Dress”

Sophie was a girl who was kicked to death because she was different which i think is totally wrong to basically kill someone because they look or act different obviously I'm big on this because i mean look at me I don't exactly look "normal" so if someone can be killed for something as simple as looking different things need to change
£3 from every Sophie Pencil bought from Illamasqua goes to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation. You can get the Medium Pencil, The Sophie Wristband and Make a Donation all go to helping the Sophie Lancaster Foundation

STAMP OUT PREJUDICE, HATRED AND INTOLERANCE EVERYWHERE
S.O.P.H.I.E

What do you think of the Sophie Eyeliner?

Illamasqua Haul!

Hey Beauties!

I thought i would do a Haul on some stuff I have bought on Tuesday from Illamasqua. I thought this would be a good idea because the new collection "Human Fundamentalism" is out, I am going to order some stuff from it soon and I cant wait!

So I got quite a bit from Illamasqua, some new things I hadn't used before and some stuff I always go back too like the Sophie Pencil, best black eyeliner EVER! I will just put some pictures down below of the products and what I think of them. If you would like an in-depth review of a certain product, Leave me a comment! <3
First off lets start talking about the foundations that I got. I got 4 shades of Skin Base and 4 of the Light Liquid Foundation

I got the shades SB03, 05, 07, 10 of Skin Base and in Light Liquid I got LF115, LF140, LF215 LF233.
First off you guys all know what i think of Skin Base, my Holy Grail of Foundations ((Check out my Full Review Here)) I have to say Skin Base is the best foundation I have ever used. It blends amazingly, its like second skin, it covers up so much but doesnt feel cakey or thick and a great thing it is fully HD so amazing on camera or photographs. David Horne had said to me that Skin Base was his proudest moment in 22 years of doing makeup professionally.

Light Liquid Foundation is good as well because i feel it gives the skin a really nice glow even more so if you use it with the Satin Primer. I have to admit i think it has quite a weird texture or it might just be me hah.

Shown here from Left to Right:
-Preen Powder Eyeshadow
-Daemon Powder Eyeshadow
-Entangle Cream Eyeshadow
-Loose Powder in LP205 in the Background
If you have never tried the Illamasqua Eyeshadow I suggest you should they are seriously pigmented and last a long time, if you think MAC are Pigmented you haven't tried Illamasqua. The only way to prove the pigmentation would be to show swatches of the 3 colours above.
Blue- Preen Powder Eyeshadow
Red- Deamon Powder Eyeshadow
Black/Slate- Entangle Cream Eyeshadow

((Hollow Cream Pigment will be seen Below))
As you can see in the swatch above these eyeshadows are insanely pigmented one of my favourites is Entangle because it makes a black smokey eye so much more intense it also is good at deepening colours as well. On its own Entangle is a horrible horrible product because it crease like mad and it doesnt stay put but once set it becomes one of the best products I own. Although there is something good about it on its own, it blends like a dream and once you put the black on top (Lestat Powder Eyeshadow) it becomes something amazing. ((See my Full Review here))

Shown Here-
Eye Liner Cake- Mislead
Cream Blush- Lies
Cream Pigment- Hollow
Intense Lipgloss in Absorb
Illuminator- Halycon
Now onto something that really made me quite happy to own, its called Lies and is a Cream Blush but you dont use it as a blush, it is the perfect pink toned highlight that makes the skin look so dewy and fresh its unbelievable! It blends like a dream and feels light on the skin.
Hollow....Where do i start this product is a big thing in the "Illamasqua lovers circles" this product is so multipurpose- It gives you a base to work on for your eyes, a contour colour to define your cheeks, a Nude lip colour, the ways to use these Cream Pigments are endless! I already have like 4 of them
Absorb is nothing special its just your normal lipgloss in a Nude/Biscuit Colour which is thick but good thick you can wear this over a lip colour or on its own
Halycon is a fantastic product for higlighting as well because its not glittery but its really satin like it makes the skin shine rather than glisten...Amazing!
Shown Here-
Sophie Medium Pencil
Halycon Illuminator
Absorb Intense Gloss
Overall my love for Illamasqua will never end haha! I dont think there is one product that I dont like
((Maybe Rich Liquid but its good for mixing but shh))
